this is written about me from mummy's point of view so 'I' is mum.

Tommy

The Breed

Tommy is a miniature schnauzer He is the smallest of the three schnauzer's the other 2 are standard and giant. Schnauzers-Rule

His Interests

Tommy is currently enjoying agility (as am I).
Agility Training
We also enjoy tug of war, fetch and chase.

Fetch

Fetch is a game involving the owner, the dog and the toy.

Teaching Fetch

OR

1. Start by making sure you have a confident recall.
2. Then throw the toy a short distance
3. Once the dog is holding the toy call him/her to you.
4. Your dog should bring you the toy if not retrieve toy, attach a short line to the dog and when they are holding the toy reel them in.
   

   DO NOT CHASE THEM TO RETRIEVE IT OR THEY WILL NOT TRUST YOU AND RUN OFF WITH THE TOY!

5. When he/she brings you the toy be sure to reward them with lots of praise and treats.
6. After he/she brings you the toy every time, when you send them to get the toy and when he/she is bringing it back say fetch.
